Steve Altman

Steve has been providing wealth management advice since 1996.

Prior to his founding role at True Private Wealth Advisors, Steve was Resident Director of the Merrill Lynch Private Client Group office in Salem, Oregon. During that time, Steve was twice honored as the Merrill Lynch National Resident Director of the Year. Steve graduated from Oregon State University with a BS in Economics.

Steve lost his first wife, Kirstin, to cancer in 2020. He married Marni Redding in October 2023. Together they have six children: Chandler, Natalie, Gage, Isabelle, Quinn, and Blake. The family actively supports several non-profits in the community. Steve and Marni’s primary focus is health and children. Currently, Steve is actively serving as a board member on Salem Health Foundation and Family Building Blocks, a social service agency focused on child health from 0- 3 years in age. Steve, particularly, enjoys skiing, golf, flyfishing, and travel.
